The perfect way to expose your puppy (or dog!) to a novel farm experience.
Our Rural Experience class that concludes our Early Learning Program is often a highlight experience for puppies and their people.
So, it’s now available for all Journey Dog Training Alumni (Prime Pups School and Private Training), for pups, older dogs, and dogs who may not have experienced a rural environment before.
With cows, chickens, and sheep to see and an avocado orchard to explore, this is great way to socialise with a small group of other Alumni and have safe, supervised exposure to a range of novel experiences.

What’s Involved

A maximum of 10 trainee dogs (and their humans) will be in a group. This ensures everyone gets dedicated time with the trainer in a controlled environment. If appropriate, there will be a resident older and well-socialised dog to help the other pups navigate the property.

Our Rural Romp experience is available at an exclusive Alumni-only price of $50/pup!
Once your registration is processed, payment is due with 48 hours to secure your sessions. Waiting lists are available in case of last minute cancellations.

You’ll be on your rural adventure for one hour.
Note: Sessions will go ahead in all weather, unless extreme. You will be notified in advance if sessions need to be postponed.

Our rural location is near McLaren Falls Park in the Lower Kaimai area of Tauranga, so make sure to leave enough travel time!

Yes! If you love the first one, you’re welcome to sign up for more to expose your pup with a different group of Alumni.
Suitable for dogs of all ages that have graduated our Prime Pups School or attended private dog or puppy training.

Please read our Booking Terms & Conditions before registering. Payment must be made within 48 hours of your registration. 48 hours notice of cancellation must be given, credit can be applied at the trainer’s discretion.
