Journey Dog Training
Booking Terms & Conditions

Please ensure you have read and understood the below Terms & Conditions before booking one of our training courses. Your place on a course is only secured once full payment is received.

General requirements

  • Many of our courses do not require any additional experience to attend.

  • Heaps of enthusiasm and a willingness to learn is essential (that's you too and not just the dog!).

  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your class/course starting, otherwise you will disrupt the group and may be excluded from the session.

  • Bring toys and/or food/treats (plenty of them) that motivate your dog.

  • We encourage all dog owners/enthusiasts/professionals to give these courses a try.

Dog’s requirements

  • All dogs must wear a material or leather collar with the owners contact details, and remain on lead unless otherwise directed.

  • No choke chains, no prong collars, no chain leads, retractable leads or very short leads are permitted. You may use a slip lead for ease of use when training on or off lead but not for correction (martingale collars are acceptable if set up correctly).

  • Please ensure your dog is currently registered with the local council if over 3 months of age.

Vaccinations and health

  • EARLY LEARNING PUPS: We require that your pup has received its first vaccination before attending any indoor classes.

  • If at any stage your puppy exhibits any signs of illness—lethargy, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, sneezing/coughing for example, then you must inform us immediately and consult your vet and cease attending the classes.

  • SCHOOL PUPS & TOP TEENS: All dogs must be fully vaccinated, including kennel cough if they have attended day care/kennels, regularly wormed and treated for fleas before attending any classes or courses. Records will be checked upon registration.

  • Please make us aware of any previous injuries, medical or behavioural issues your dog may experience now or in the past.

  • An assessment at the start of the course will be done on all dogs to ensure they will be suitable to complete the course. Not all dogs benefit from group training as some specific behavioural issues are best tackled on a one on one basis. We will discuss this with you and your options if this is the case.

  • If at any stage your puppy exhibits any signs of illness—lethargy, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, sneezing/coughing for example, then you must inform us immediately and consult your vet and cease attending the classes.

If your dog comes into season they will be restricted from attending classes for at least 2 weeks or as such time they no longer show the signs.

Human requirements

  • Please make us aware of any conditions or disabilities that you may have for your safety. Our team are trained in human and pet first aid should it be required.

  • Wear comfortable clothing and covered footwear suitable for indoors and outdoor, all weather. No jandals please.

  • Please ensure your dog has been to the toilet before entering a building if training indoors.

  • You are required to clean up after your own dog so please bring poo bags with you. Anyone found repeatedly not cleaning up after their dog will be asked to leave the sessions.

  • If your dog is excitable or energetic you may find it useful to take it for a brief walk or play session before the session starts to gain more focus but please do so away from other dogs in the class in a controlled manner.

  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule courses and classes if necessary, depending on numbers attending or due to circumstances beyond our control like the weather. In these circumstances we will inform you as soon as possible, a full refund or credit by arrangement may apply.

  • By accepting these terms, you agree to us using any photos and videos for social media, marketing and commercial purposes unless you tell us otherwise.

  • If you or any of your family experience any symptoms of COVID-19 please test yourself before attending any training and stay at home if a positive result.

  • If you cannot make any training sessions you will still be charged.

  • If you change your mind or do not attend without giving at least 14 days notice, a refund will not be offered, a credit may be issued at our discretion.
